FAQs.

  • A HYROX Simulation Race is a simulation of a HYROX race and is not hosted by HYROX.

    The race format will be a simulation of an official HYROX race. Athletes can expect to run 1km, followed by one functional workout station, repeated eight times.

    Find a partner - you will be running together, but splitting each workout station as you choose.

    The flow of the race will be:

    • 1km run

    • 1000m SkiErg

    • 1km run

    • 4 × 12.5m Sled Push

    • 1km run

    • 4 × 12.5m Sled Pull

    • 1km run

    • 80m Burpee Broad Jumps

    • 1km run

    • 1000m Rowing

    • 1km run

    • 200m Kettlebell Farmers Carry

    • 1km run

    • 100m Sandbag Lunges

    • 1km run

    • 100 Wall Balls

    As an official HYROX Training Club, CrossFit The Stables can host HYROX simulation races. We are excited to bring this simulation race to the Sunshine Coast community!

  • The workout stations simulate an official HYROX race and will include SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wallballs.

  • There will be divisions to suit all fitness and experience levels. You will have the option to enter:

    • Mixed Pairs

    • Male Open Pairs

    • Male Pro Pairs

    • Female Open Pairs

    • Female Pro Pairs

  • The OPEN division is for the standard HYROX challenge. Choose this division if you are a fitness enthusiast, everyday athlete or if this is your first HYROX type of race.

    The PRO division is for the experienced racer. You’ll have heavier weights which makes for a more challenging experience. Choose this division if you have competed as a PRO in HYROX races before or other functional fitness events at a high level.

  • The weights will simulate an official HYROX race.

    • Sled Push: 152kg

    • Sled Pull: 103kg

    • Sandbag Lunge: 20kg

    • Famers Carry: 2 × 24kg

    • Wallball: 6kg

    Male Open Pairs:

    • Sled Push: 152kg

    • Sled Pull: 103kg

    • Sandbag Lunge: 20kg

    • Farmers Carry: 2 × 24kg

    • Wallball: 6kg

    Male Pro Pairs:

    • Sled Push: 202kg

    • SledPull: 153kg

    • Sandbag Lunge: 30kg

    • Farmers Carry: 2 × 32kg

    • Wallball: 9kg

    Female Open Pairs:

    • Sled Push: 102kg

    • Sled Pull: 78kg

    • Sandbag Lunge: 10kg

    • Farmers Carry: 2 × 16kg

    • Sled Push: 152kg

  • Yes, chip timers will be used to track your finish time. The time will start when you cross the start line and finish when you make it over that finish line! Split times for each station will not be provided.

    Of course, we also recommend starting your own fitness watch for your own personal data. Plus, you wouldn’t want to miss the chance to add all of that running to Strava!

  • No, this is a HYROX Simulation Race and is not a qualifying event. Participation in this event does not count towards anything.

  • We are excited to be hosting the event over the weekend of the 13-14 September 2025 at The Station, Sunshine Coast, QLD.

    We’re taking over The Station to bring you not just an event, but an experience. Think indoor and outdoor spaces, DJs and it’s a licensed venue, so food and drinks will be available on-site.

    The Station is a great venue with plenty of space for athletes, spectators and vendors. We have no doubt it’s going to be a weekend you won’t want to miss!

  • Registrations are now open. Click here to register.

    You will need the following information when you register:

    • Athlete details for both teammates – name, email, contact number, address, DOB, emergency contact name and number

    • Your team name (time to get creative!)

    • Preferred race day – Saturday 13 or Sunday 14 September

    • Estimated finish time (under 1:00, 1:00-1:10, 1:10-1:20, 1:20-1:30, 1:30-1:45, 1:45-2:00, 2:00+)

    • Choose your division from Mixed Pairs, Men Pairs – Open or PRO, Women Pairs – Open or PRO.

  • We’re keeping things simple - no tiered pricing, just straight up good value and a solid experience. Registration is $258 per pair and includes:

    • Race entry for you and your partner

    • Free Sunday HYROX sessions at The Stables until race day - starting 6 July (bookings essential)

    • Entry into our prize pack draw for registered teams

    • Supporter deals and exclusive offers

    • Discounted Stables HYROX Training Membership

  • You will have the option to choose to race on Saturday or Sunday - divisions will be offered on both days.

    Choose your preferred day at time of registration.

    Yes - you can enter more than one division! You’ll just need to complete a separate rego for each.
